Overview

Titebond (Franklin International)

Titebond is a brand of Franklin International, a privately held manufacturer of polymers, adhesives, and sealants in the United States. Franklin International has been family-owned and operated since 1935. It opened that year as The Franklin Glue Company, and the Titebond brand name came from its first water-based aliphatic resin glue, developed in 1951. Franklin International lists more than 500 employees, ISO 9001:2015 certification, and distribution in more than 60 countries.

The corporate headquarters is at 2020 Bruck Street, just south of downtown Columbus, Ohio, where product development, production, and packaging take place. Franklin’s polymers production facility, which makes the Duracet base polymers, began on Chestnut Street in downtown Columbus in 1953. A manufacturing facility in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, opened in 2021 to add caulk and sealant capacity for water-based formulations.

Franklin’s printed product range includes wood glues, construction adhesives, wood flooring adhesives, FRP panel adhesives, pressure-sensitive adhesives, and sealants.
