There are seven surface finishes: Satin, Matt, Rock, Matt-Rock, Diffuse, Oblique and Specular. Availability varies by collection. Diffuse applies to all Lumen and Focus products, and Oblique and Specular apply to all Lumen decors. The Meteon collection carries a 10-year warranty.

Trespa Pura NFC is the exterior siding product, used in a ventilated facade. It is offered in Lumen and Wood Decors looks and keeps a smooth surface.

Trespa’s 2008 introduction of the ZF panel size of 4270 by 2130 mm is the largest panel format named in the company’s history timeline.

Relevant manufacturer history

Hermann Krages, a timber merchant, founded the high-pressure laminate maker Thermopal in Weert, the Netherlands, in 1960. The panel factory started in 1962 with two presses, two impregnation lines and a resin tower, and the first panels were sold under the Trespa name in 1963. In 1969 Trespa Volkern was tested outdoors as a sunshade in Delft, which marked the start of exterior panel production.

A patented Dry Forming process using natural fibers and phenolic resin was introduced in 1984. Electron Beam Curing was developed and patented in 1987. In 1994 the earlier product lines were replaced by Meteon, Athlon and TopLab. Trespa International B.V. was established in 1995, and HAL Holding NV acquired it in 1996.

Meteon Wood Decors were introduced in 2003, and the ZF panel size of 4270 by 2130 mm followed in 2008. The Matt finish arrived in 2012. In 2015 the EBC 2 line was developed and Pura NFC, a natural-fiber siding, was launched. Trespa marked its 60th anniversary in 2020.
