The application guideline describes how to apply a coated spray polyurethane foam and reflective roof coating system over an existing granulated modified bitumen roof surface. The guideline is 11 pages long and was last revised 9/18/25.

Part 2 lists the closed cell foam properties with ASTM test references: density of 2.8 to 3.0 lbs./ft3, compressive strength of 40 psi minimum, open cell content of 90% minimum, a K-value of 0.16 to 0.18, and flammability below 75 under ASTM E84. The foam and coating assembly must meet UL 790 for a Class A application or Factory Mutual RoofNAV for a Class 1 application, and/or as local building codes require.

The coatings section gives the type, viscosity, elongation, tensile strength, volume solids and color for Acrylic 211, High-Tensile Acrylic 211, Silicone 410, High Solids Silicone 412, Aliphatic Urethane 510-CA, Aromatic Urethane 512-CA, Aromatic Urethane 520 and Aromatic Urethane 508. The warranty section asks that the manufacturer’s warranty application procedures be followed and that a Pre-Project Inspection Report be submitted and approved before work starts.
