The two-page quick specification summarizes the Max-Ply fabric-reinforced roof system from American WeatherStar. It describes four layers in sequence: surface preparation by pressure washing, a fabric-reinforced base coat with polyester fabric laid flat into the wet coat, a saturation coat that encapsulates the fabric, and a top coat for UV resistance and reflectivity.
Suitable substrates are single-ply (EPDM, TPO, PVC), modified bitumen (smooth or granulated), built-up roofing and structural concrete. The first page also gives a 3000-4000 psi pressure wash recommendation, a 24-hour interval between coats and a storage range of 50°F to 75°F for unopened components.
The second page is a technical data table for 10-, 15- and 20-year system terms. It lists the fabric base coat, saturation coat and top coat products for each term, with total dry film thickness. The acrylic system runs 45, 50 and 58 mils, the Envir-O-Sil silicone system 40, 45 and 50 mils, the Ure-A-Max urethane system 40, 45 and 50 mils, and the Ure-A-Sil system 35, 40 and 45 mils over 12-, 15- and 20-year terms. Property tables on the same page give Acrylic 211 at 233% elongation and High-Tensile Acrylic 211 at 600% elongation.
