This two-page system quick specification covers Ure-A-Max, a hybrid urethane roof restoration system. The file gives the system layers in order: seam and detail coating with Urethane Brush-Grade 522, a base coat of Aromatic Urethane 520, and a top coat of Aliphatic Urethane 510-CA. Suitable substrates are modified bitumen, built-up roofing, TPO, PVC, EPDM, structural concrete and spray polyurethane foam.
Page two sets out the adhesion test, a pre-inspection list of 10 items and installation tips, including pressure washing at 3000 to 4000 psi. The printed properties for Aromatic Urethane 520 are 70% plus or minus 2% solids by volume, 350% plus or minus 50% elongation, 975 plus or minus 25 psi tensile strength and 2000 cps viscosity. Aliphatic Urethane 510-CA is listed at 76.7% solids, 230% elongation, 2,300 psi tensile strength and 100 KU viscosity.
A technical table gives total dry film thickness by substrate and term. Built-up roofs and modified bitumen run from 30 to 45 mils across 10-, 15- and 20-year terms. TPO, PVC and EPDM run from 25 to 40 mils, concrete from 38 to 55 mils, and spray polyurethane foam from 30 to 40 mils for 10- and 15-year terms.
