Document record

This application guideline sets out the procedure for applying the Ure-A-Sil Eco roof restoration system over smooth and gravel built-up roofs. The file is marked last revised 9/18/25. It runs to five pages, beginning with general requirements, then products and installation. The general part states that each job must be approved by American WeatherStar before work begins and that a single contractor approved by the manufacturer applies the products.

The products section lists the coating materials by name, with each product’s type, viscosity, elongation, tensile strength, volume solids and color where printed. Entries include Urethane Brush-Grade 524-CA, Aromatic Urethane 512-CA, non-fibered asphalt emulsion, High Solids Silicone 412, EcoCleaner 925 surface cleaner and spunbound polyester fabric. Delivery, storage and warranty conditions follow.

The installation part covers surface preparation, including pressure washing at a minimum of 3,000 psi, and a foundation coat of asphalt emulsion. Smooth built-up roofs with moderate to severe alligatoring receive up to 4 gallons per 100 square feet. Gravel built-up roofs must have the gravel spudded and removed before the emulsion goes on in multiple passes, with 1 to 7 days of drying between passes and 7 to 14 days after the final pass.
