Revision context

Document record

This guideline gives the application procedure for the Ure-A-Sil Eco coating system over EPDM roof surfaces. A last revision of 9/18/25 appears in the header. The five-page file states that adhesion to EPDM depends on the age and condition of each roof, and that field adhesion tests are highly recommended.

The products section lists Urethane Brush-Grade 524-CA, Aromatic Urethane 512-CA, High Solids Silicone 412, spunbound polyester fabric and EcoCleaner 925, with their printed physical properties. Delivery and storage requirements and the warranty conditions appear before installation begins.

The installation section starts with surface preparation, including pressure washing at 3,000 psi and removal of wet insulation and damaged membranes. The primer stage recommends an adhesion test before work continues. Seams are flashed with Urethane Brush-Grade 524-CA at 50 wet mils and a minimum of 30 mils dry film thickness, with at least 3 inches of overlap onto the membrane. Penetrations receive 90 wet mils and a minimum of 60 mils dry film thickness.
