Document record

This one-page technical data sheet covers P-305 Asphalt & Bleed Block Primer, a water-based acrylic primer applied before silicone coatings on asphalt-based substrates. The sheet says it blocks asphaltic compounds to reduce staining of silicone coatings, fills granulated valleys, and is specified for warranty silicone applications over asphalt-based substrates.

Typical coverage is about 1.5 gal/sq on granulated surfaces and about 1.0 gal/sq on smooth surfaces. The sheet lists 11 pounds per gallon, 40% solids by volume, 44% solids by weight, VOC below 50 g/l, a service temperature of 15 to 180 degrees F, and light gray color.

Application is by spray, roller or brush, from 40 to 120 degrees F, with less than 90% humidity, no threat of rain for 48 hours, and a surface temperature under 100 degrees F. Cure time is 3 to 6 hours at 77 degrees F and 50% relative humidity. Packaging is tote, drum, 5 and 1 gallon, with a two-year shelf life stored between 60 and 90 degrees F.
