Overview

CF Striated is a Metl-Span insulated metal wall panel with a foam core and narrow longitudinal striations on the exterior face. It is used in commercial and industrial walls in the United States.

The shallow striations make a wall read as nearly flat at a distance. Part of the insulated metal wall panels range, it uses concealed clips.

Joint

Panels join with an offset double tongue-and-groove, and a metal shelf extends from the joint so the panel can be face fastened. The striated panel is hung on concealed clips. Those clips remove thermal short circuits through the wall.

Thermal values

Values in the polyurethane (PUR) tables are for a 42 in. width at 35°F core mean temperature and are based on ASTM C518, ASTM C1363 and thermal modeling.

  • 2 in.: U-factor 0.059, R-value 17.5
  • 2-1/2 in.: U-factor 0.046, R-value 21.9
  • 3 in.: U-factor 0.039, R-value 26.2
  • 4 in.: U-factor 0.029, R-value 35.0

Structural data and classification

Load span tables are based on Allowable Stress Design. The panel is listed under MasterFormat 2012 Section 07 42 13.19.
