Overview

Cedar Crest and Cedar Crest IR (Impact Resistant) are self-sealing, multiple-layered hip and ridge accessory shingles from CertainTeed. Availability depends on sales region. They are a medium-profile asphalt ridge piece made to imitate the look of cedar shake.

They blend with the Landmark Series and Presidential Series shingles, Presidential Shake, Presidential Shake TL, Highland Slate and Belmont. The impact-resistant version matches Presidential Shake and Belmont Impact Resistant shingles. They are available in Algae Resistant (AR) colors only.

Composition and format

Cedar Crest has a fiber glass mat base with ceramic coated mineral granules embedded in water-resistant asphalt. Copper-infused surface granules provide algae resistance under the StreakFighter name. The accessory is built with two full layers. The three-piece shingle separates along perforated lines.

  • Separated pieces: three caps, each 12 inches by 12 inches
