Landmark PRO Solaris

Landmark PRO Solaris is a CertainTeed residential shingle roofing product that reflects solar energy in a traditional color palette. All colors are rated by the Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC) for cool roofs and meet California Title 24 requirements for cool steep slope roofing. The shingles are available in metric dimensions of 13 1/4 inches by 38 3/4 inches.

Complex granule color blends and subtle shadow lines give its color selection, and the shingle is produced with the NailTrak nailing feature.

Landmark PRO Solaris shingles have a fiber glass mat base. The Landmark PRO Solaris granule layer is ceramic-coated mineral granules of high solar reflectance set in refined, water-resistant asphalt. Two pieces of the shingle are laminated together in an asphaltic cement, and all of the shingles have self-sealing adhesive strips.

The shingle has a multi-layer design made up of a fiberglass base, a protective outer layer and a reflective layer. The reflective layer uses Solaris Cool Roof technology.

Aged solar reflectance, thermal emittance and solar reflective index (SRI) by color are as follows. A double-dagger mark means the aged value was calculated using the California Title 24 SRI Calculation Worksheet, and a double asterisk on emittance means the value is the initial thermal emittance. Colors marked with an asterisk in the table meet the cool roofing requirements of the Green Building Standards Code of Los Angeles County for residential buildings.

Landmark PRO Solaris is used on roofs with slopes greater than 2 inches per foot. On Landmark PRO Solaris, slopes from 2:12 to less than 4:12 call for additional underlayment. Where eave icing can back water up under Landmark PRO Solaris, CertainTeed WinterGuard Waterproofing Shingle Underlayment or an equivalent is applied.

CertainTeed 10-inch Mountain Ridge AR of a like color caps the hips and ridges. Landmark PRO Solaris shingles carry a lifetime limited transferable warranty to the consumer against manufacturing defects when applied to stated CertainTeed application instructions, plus up to 10 years of SureStart Protection.
