This four-page product data sheet covers GAF EverGuard TPO smooth membranes in 45, 60 and 80 mil. The sheet describes TPO as a thermoplastic polyolefin single-ply roofing membrane with heat-welded seams. It states that the core formula has been installed on more than 7 billion square feet of roofs and has been in use for more than 20 years.
The features list 12-foot rolls, a white reflective option, and guarantees for eligible systems of up to 20 years for 45 mil, 25 years for 60 mil and 30 years for 80 mil. The sheet gives a weather resistance result of 2 to 2.5 times the industry standard under the ASTM D6878 test, depending on thickness. Installation methods listed are mechanically attached, induction welded, and adhered with the bonding adhesives named on the sheet.
The physical properties table is based on ASTM D6878. It gives nominal thickness of 0.045 inch (1.14 mm) for 45 mil, 0.060 inch (1.52 mm) for 60 mil and 0.080 inch (2.03 mm) for 80 mil, with breaking strength, elongation, tear strength, brittleness at -40°F and ozone resistance. The 60 and 80 mil smooth membranes are available with MembraneShield Temporary Dirt-Blocking Film, which the sheet describes as left on during installation and removed after installation or up to 90 days later.
The accessories section lists a 6-inch primerless cover tape, a split pourable sealer pocket, a vent boot for 1 to 6 inch pipes, and wall scuppers. The sheet gives a GAF Design Services phone number and email address for additional information.
