LudoShake

Ludowici LudoShake is a lightweight interlocking terra-cotta roof tile with the texture and varied thickness of hand split wood. It can be installed in straight rows or staggered for a more rustic look. LudoShake Premier is offered in three tile sizes, creating random widths.

Compared with wood, rubber or plastic shakes, LudoShake has fewer pieces per square. The tiles are Class A fire resistant. Colors are offered as standard shake colors, custom colors or custom blends.

• Weight per square: 598 pounds (LudoShake), 676 pounds (Premier)
• Pieces per square: 109 (LudoShake), 119 (Premier: 100 full, 9 two-thirds, 10 half)
• Overall size, LudoShake: 10 3/4 inches by 16 inches
• Overall size, Premier: 10 3/4, 7 3/4 and 5 3/4 inches wide by 16 inches long
• Exposure, LudoShake: 10 1/8 inches by 13 inches
• Exposure, Premier: 10 3/4, 7 3/4 and 5 3/4 inches wide by 13 inches
• Minimum slope: 3:12
• Base texture: Scratched Shake

Pallets of LudoShake Premier hold one width each, so mixing of the three widths happens during installation.

The base texture is Scratched Shake. Weathered is listed as a custom texture. Four 3D texture treatments are shown for the LudoShake family: Aged Cedar, Brunswick Black, Strata Gray Impressionist and Vermont Gray Black.

Standard color blends are Aged Cedar, Earth Gray, Ebony Mist, Golden Red Cedar, Sienna, Western Cedar and White Cedar. These seven blends are the ones recommended for an authentic shake appearance. LudoShake is also available in all Ludowici matte color blends, in all standard and custom colors, and in custom textures.

For LudoShake, the hip and ridge trim groups are V-Hip and Ridge, #118/#211, Circular Cover (CC) and #102/#206. Hip starters, hips, ridges, closed ridge ends and two-hip, one-ridge terminals are made in each group.
