The Technical Library lists 16 Sika liquid-applied roofing and waterproofing systems, each arranged by guide specification. Many of them are written under Division 07 56 00, Fluid-Applied Roofing.
Sika’s liquid-applied roofing and waterproofing uses several coating technologies. One-component, cold-applied technologies are high-solids polyurethane, high-solids silicone and Type 1 acrylic. Two-component, cold-applied technologies are polyurea hybrids, with optional polyaspartic topcoats. The two-component, hot-spray-applied technology is pure polyurea.
The named product lines are Sikalastic RoofPro, Sikalastic RoofCoat, Sikalastic Clearglaze, Sikalastic Conductive Primer and Sikalastic 720, together with liquid-applied resins, reinforcements, primers, adhesives and accessories.
Sika arranges these into system configurations. Direct to Substrate covers concrete decks, plywood decks, metal and existing roofs. Built-Up Insulated covers roofs requiring insulation. Plaza Deck, Terrace, Balcony and Patio covers surfaces with pavers, wood decking or tile over the membrane. Green (Vegetated) covers intensive or extensive vegetated overburden. Existing Roof Recover uses Sikalastic RoofCoat. Metal Recover covers standing seam metal roofs. Skylight Restoration uses Sikalastic Clearglaze with RoofPro resins and reinforcement. Chemical Containment, Cooling Tower and Gravel Roof Resurfacing are the remaining configurations. Gravel Roof Resurfacing uses Sikalastic 720, a two-component aromatic urethane mixed with recycled crumb rubber.
The library products include Sikalastic-515, Sikalastic-500 and Sikalastic-646 fluid-applied roofing recover systems, Sikalastic-835 I and Sikalastic 702 membrane roofing-waterproofing systems, Sikalastic-641 Lo VOC, Sikalastic-621, Sikalastic-621 Metal Roof Recover, Sikalastic 621 TC skylight waterproofing, vegetated protected membrane roofing systems on Sikalastic 641 Lo-VOC and Sikalastic-621, Sikalastic-644 Lo-VOC, and Sikalastic-624 WP systems for roofing and waterproofing.
