AEP Span
AEP Span is an architectural metal roofing and siding manufacturer and a division of ASC Profiles LLC, a West Coast manufacturer of metal roofing, siding and structural steel decking. Nippon Steel of Japan and BlueScope of Australia co-own ASC Profiles. The other ASC Profiles divisions are ASC Building Products and ASC Steel Deck. AEP Span has two manufacturing locations, in West Sacramento, California and Tacoma, Washington. Four AEP Span roof profiles are in the library: U-Panel, Mini-V-Beam, PBR and HR-36. U-Panel, PBR and HR-36 are exposed-fastener panels listed in both the metal roofing and metal siding menus.
The PBR Panel has 36 inch coverage and a rib height of 1 1/4 inches. Its base metal is Zincalume steel (AZ50) in 26, 24 and 22 gauge, in lengths from 6 feet to 50 feet. Its minimum slope is 1:12, it can be installed horizontally or vertically, and it is attached with exposed screws and no factory-applied sealant. Listed certifications include ASTM E283, ASTM E331, UL 263, UL 790 and ER-0550 building code evaluation. Perforation and stucco embossing are optional.
Relevant manufacturer history
The current business began manufacturing as ASC Pacific at its Tacoma facility in 1971. It later acquired the Dallas-based AEP Span Inc. in the early 2000s.
