Inspire Slate

Inspire Slate is a DaVinci Roofscapes residential slate-format roof tile. The field tile is 12 inches wide in a single width, with a nominal thickness of one quarter inch. It is offered in Class A and Class C field-tile options, each with its own starter and hinged hip and ridge pieces. It belongs to the slate-look and shake-look residential roofing products in the manufacturer's range.

Its technical sheet carries an effective date of November 1, 2023.

• 7.5-inch exposure: 6.4 bundles per square, 5:12 pitch or greater.
• 7-inch exposure: 6.88 bundles per square, 5:12 pitch or greater.
• 6.5-inch exposure: 7.39 bundles per square, 5:12 pitch or greater.
• 6-inch exposure: 8 bundles per square, 3:12 pitch or greater.

Each field bundle holds 25 pieces, weighs 38 pounds and calls for 50 nails. These figures apply to both the Class A and Class C field tile.

At 38 pounds per bundle, the field material weighs approximately 243, 261, 281 and 304 pounds per square at the 7.5-, 7-, 6.5- and 6-inch exposures.

A hinged hip and ridge piece is listed in Class A and Class C versions, in two sizes.

• 7.5-inch size: 15.6 linear feet per bundle, 25 pieces, 38 pounds, 50 nails.
• 12-inch size: 25 linear feet per bundle, 25 pieces, 25 pounds, 50 nails.

The slate starter is also made in Class A and Class C versions and is sold as a single color only, with no blending.

Standard colors, with color numbers, are Brandywine (806), Brick Red (709), Charcoal Black (801), Chestnut Brown (712), Mist Gray (803), Olive (814), Perfect Plum (706), Red Rock (809), Sage Green (815) and Steel Gray (804).

The mixed and Cool Roof options are Brunswick Mix (791), Coachman Mix (790), Concord Mix (789), Gray/Black Blend (718), Nottingham Mix (788), Ash Gray Cool Roof (731), Evergreen Cool Roof (730), Granite Cool Roof (732), Graphite Cool Roof (733) and Wintergreen Mix Cool Roof (792).
