Multi-Width Shake

Multi-Width Shake is a DaVinci Roofscapes residential shake-format roof tile. The field tile comes in five widths, 4, 6, 7, 8 and 9 inches, all 22 inches long. Among slate-look and shake-look residential roofing products in the range, it sits beside Single-Width Shake, Select Shake and the Fancy Shake and hand split siding formats on the same sheet.

The technical sheet is dated 9/29/2025 and replaces 7/1/2025.

The field bundle holds 24 pieces in the five widths, 22 inches long, and weighs 38 pounds. Nails required are 48 per bundle.

• At 10 inches of exposure, 8 bundles cover a square, laid straight, on 3:12 pitch or greater.
• At 9 inches of exposure, 9 bundles cover a square, laid straight or staggered, on 3:12 pitch or greater.

Only the 9-inch exposure can be staggered.

The 10-inch exposure weighs 300 pounds per square with 384 nails required. The 9-inch exposure weighs 333 pounds per square with 432 nails required. Nail boxes of 7,200 hot dipped galvanized ring shank coil nails weigh 38 pounds (1-1/2 inch) or 41 pounds (1-3/4 inch). A 54-pound roll of Eco Chief SOLARHIDE underlayment covers 10 squares.

• Hip/Ridge two-piece, 6 inches wide, per 10-inch exposure: 8.33 linear feet per bundle, 20 pieces, 27 pounds, 40 nails.
• Hip/Ridge one-piece hinged, per 12-inch exposure, 3:12 to 12:12 pitch: 10 linear feet per bundle, 10 pieces, 16 pounds, 20 nails.
• Valley, 12 inches wide by 22 inches long: 4.16 linear feet per bundle, 10 pieces, 22 pounds, 20 nails.
• Starter in 12-inch by 12-inch size: 20 linear feet per bundle at 20 pieces, 31 pounds and 40 nails.
• Solid accessory, 12 inches by 22 inches: 47 pounds per bundle of 10 pieces, 20 nails.

Standard colors are Aged Cedar, Autumn, Black Oak, Blonde Cedar, Chesapeake, Mossy Cedar, Mountain, New Cedar, Tahoe, Timber Black and Weathered Gray. The Cool Roof tier has Mountain, Tahoe and Weathered Gray.
