Four-bundle laminated shingle overview
This Landmark-line shingle is a two-piece laminated asphalt shingle made by CertainTeed in a standard and an algae-resistant (AR) version. Both use the unique NailTrak nailing feature. Complex granule color blends and subtle shadow lines make up the color selection.
Within residential shingle roofing, it is the Landmark-line shingle with a published weight of about 300 lb per square and a four-bundle square, and it carries UL 2218 Class 4 impact resistance.
Materials and construction
The shingle has a fiber glass mat base. Ceramic-coated mineral granules are embedded in refined, water-resistant asphalt, and two pieces are laminated together in a special asphaltic cement. All Landmark shingles have self-sealing adhesive strips.
The AR shingles help protect against dark or black discoloration, sometimes called staining or streaking, caused by blue-green algae (Gloeocapsa magma). They are not available in all regions. The colors offered for the AR version in each region are listed in the product brochure and on the CertainTeed website.
