Product overview
Dri-Design EN-V VS is the vertically oriented aluminum series in the EN-V collection. The collection has six series: A80, A50, G, WS, Z and VS. VS is used as a commercial rainscreen panel and is made from 0.080-inch aluminum. The vertical orientation can be combined with colors, sizes and stacked or staggered layouts.
EN-V VS is not compatible with the horizontal EN-V A80 Series within the same system.

Module sizes
EN-V VS is made in six sizes. Panels are 18 or 24 inches wide, in heights of 48, 60 and 72 inches. Flat panel dimensions are given centerline to centerline.
Joints and layouts
The standard joints are 1/2 inch horizontally and 5/8 inch vertically. Layouts are stacked, vertical stagger, 1/2 horizontal stagger, 1/3 horizontal stagger and 1/4 horizontal stagger. Reveal options for the series are staggered or aligned.
Colors and trim
VS is offered in 22 popular solid colors and 2 mica colors on the order form. The product page lists four mica paint colors: Silver, Copper Wire, Champagne and Weathered Zinc.
Popular colors listed include Stone White, Bone White, Almond, Sandstone, Sierra Tan, Medium Bronze, Dark Bronze, Cityscape, Slate Gray, Musket Gray, Charcoal, Matte Black, Arcadia Green, Hemlock Green, Forest Green, Hartford Green, Berkshire Blue, Military Blue, Interstate Blue, Terra Cotta, Colonial Red and Burgundy.
Trim is extruded: the series uses an extruded J channel and an extruded corner trim.
Wind clips and backing
Wind clips are required on EN-V VS. They are spaced at no more than 24 inches on center and oriented to the left side of the panel.
Every panel attachment point, including the wind clip locations, needs one of two backings:
- A minimum 5/8-inch plywood substrate
- A minimum 18-gauge hat channel
Fastening
The VS installation drawing, sheet G01, requires a fastener in every fastener hole. Where the attachment flange has been removed, fasteners go in at a maximum of 8 inches on center. Suitable fasteners are selected for all conditions, and the fasteners drawn on the sheet are for reference only.
