Dri-Design Perforated Screen System

The Perforated Screen System is the large-module screen product in the Dri-Design Perforated Materials group. The 2026 design guide introduces it as a newer perforated panel offering in larger module sizes. It is used as a screening layer on commercial rainscreen wall and facade work.

Panels are made in dimensions up to 48 by 126 inches or 126 by 48 inches. The material is 0.125 inch aluminum.

Other customized options and materials are handled through the Dri-Design Technical Department.

Painted panels use a fluoropolymer finish and carry a 20 year painted finish warranty. Anodized panels carry a 5 year anodized finish warranty.

Dri-Design provides separate detail downloads for face fastened, side fastened and through fastened attachment of the screen system.

The Screen System weight is given as a single figure, 3 pounds per square foot. Weight for the other perforated products varies with material. The Screen System depth of 1.5 inches is standard, and the module sizes are 48 by 126 inches and 126 by 48 inches. It follows Perforated Imaging in the Perforated Materials section of the 2026 design guide, ahead of the 6 inch deep Textured Series.

The Perforated Materials group has three products: Perforated Panels, Perforated Imaging and the Perforated Screen System. Perforated Panels and Perforated Imaging use 0.080 to 0.125 inch aluminum with a 1 1/4 to 4 inch system depth and standard joints of 1/2 inch horizontal and 5/8 inch vertical. The Screen System differs in its 1.5 inch depth, 0.125 inch thickness and 1/8 inch minimum joint.

The guide specification for the screen system is Section 074213-35, Commercial Parking Garage Perforated Aluminum Wall Panels. The three attachment detail sets are dated 03-15-24: face fastened (FF), side fastened (SF) and through fastened (TF).
