Overview

Boosted Capistrano is an accessory cap piece from Eagle Roofing Products. It is layered over selected Capistrano field tiles to vary the barrel depth of the roof, in the manner of a mortar-boosted clay roof. In Eagle's range it is a roof-system component and not a stand-alone field tile, and it is used in residential concrete tile roofing.

The pieces are made exclusively for the Capistrano profile. A Boosted piece is chosen to go with a base tile, and Eagle shows contrasting accessory and base colors as adding depth.

Cap piece size and weight

  • Cap piece width, counted without the base tile: 6 1/2 inches
  • Cap piece length, counted without the base tile: 13 1/2 inches
  • Weight per piece: approximately 4.8 pounds (not including mortar)

  • East Coast: 970 pounds at 10 percent, 1,055 pounds at 20 percent and 1,145 pounds at 30 percent
