Overview

Eagle Roofing Products

Eagle Roofing Products is a manufacturer of concrete roof tile. The corporate office is at 3546 N. Riverside Avenue, Rialto, California. The company is a division of Burlingame Industries, a privately held, family-owned California company. Eagle Roofing Products and Eagle Roofing Products Florida LLC are two separate entities, and both are separate legal entities of Burlingame Industries.

The company operates four concrete roof tile plants, in Rialto and Stockton, California, Phoenix, Arizona, and Sumterville, Florida, serving the United States and Canada. Nine design centers serve customers in both countries. Sales and service cover the western, southwestern and southeastern United States, the Great Plains, the Midwest, the Northeast and parts of Canada. Customer service and design centers are located in California, Florida and Arizona, with regional telephone lines.

The tile range is organized by profile. The site lists High Barrel, Medium, Flat and Lightweight profiles. Seven concrete tile profiles are offered in more than 150 colors, and profiles and colors vary by region. The library covers twelve products: Boosted Capistrano, Capistrano, Malibu, Bel Air, Double Eagle Bel Air, Ponderosa, Double Eagle Ponderosa, Estate, Sequoia, Golden Eagle, Tapered Slate and Textured Slate. Featured collections on the site include The Copper Series, The Vault Collection and Tapered Slate. Boosted Capistrano is listed among the specialty installations.

The tiles are color-through, and an acrylic sealer is applied to reduce efflorescence. Eagle uses a 3:1 cement-to-aggregate mixture. The roof assembly carries a Class A fire rating, and the tiles are approved for the Miami-Dade high-velocity hurricane zone. Both conventional and lightweight tiles are produced, and the tiles carry a Lifetime Transferable Limited Product Warranty.

Eagle also sells roof components and systems, including ridge and gooseneck vents, dryer vents, Secure Roll, Secure Guard 60, Eagle Armor, a Ventilated Roof System, Valor Thermal by Sol-R-Skin, battens and rake seal. It offers specialty installations such as staggered, eave and boosted installations and turrets. Specifier resources include CAD details, BIM drawings, CSI specifications, energy efficiency information and continuing education courses. The stated values include safety, respect, integrity, teamwork and improvement.

Relevant manufacturer history

Robert Burlingame founded Eagle Roofing Products in the fall of 1989 in Rialto, California, with one high-pressure concrete tile extrusion machine and five employees. Within about ten years the Rialto plant supplied California, Arizona and Nevada, with capacity to produce concrete roof tile for over 83,000 homes a year.

Three other concrete roof tile plants were opened later, in Phoenix, Arizona, Stockton, California, and Sumterville, Florida. The company reports that the Rialto facility is the largest concrete roof tile plant in North America. In the five years before January 2024 it added two satellite yards.

In January 2024 the company marked 35 years in business. It describes itself as the only privately held concrete roof tile manufacturer in the nation that is American founded and owned.
