Hickman Edge Systems

Hickman Edge Systems LLC is a maker of perimeter edge metal for commercial roofing. It is a Carlisle company, and it shares that parent with Metal-Era. Its product groups on the manufacturer’s website are fascia, coping, water control and product accessories, and they are organized into families such as TerminEdge, PermaSnap and Roofer’s Edge.

The edge metal is supplied in 12-foot lengths with pre-punched holes and snap-on covers. Hickman Edge Systems works through a network of representatives and distributors across the United States, and it publishes CSI specifications for roof edge metal along with a wind calculator for speed and pressure.

Product families

• TerminEdge is a three-piece snap-on fascia system tested to ANSI/SPRI/FM 4435 ES-1 and FM Approved. It is offered in five options: TerminEdge EX Fascia, EX MB Fascia, XT Fascia, XT MB Fascia and Canted XT WD Fascia.
• PermaSnap is a three-piece coping system tested to ANSI/SPRI/FM 4435 ES-1 for parapet walls up to 32 inches wide. It uses self-locating pre-punched clips, concealed splices with an integral gutter system and a snap-on cap. The four options are PermaSnap Premier Plus Coping, Premier Coping, Plus Coping and PermaSnap Coping.
• Roofer’s Edge is the line for buildings that do not require Factory Mutual tested edge systems. Its products are tested to ANSI/SPRI/FM 4435 ES-1 and include Snap-On Fascia, Coping, Drip Fascia, Gravel Stop and Membrane.

The two reglet entries cover counterflashing that is set into a masonry or concrete wall or a surface-mounted receiver, using a drive-lock or snap-on method.
