Clips and joint
CSC-1 and CSC-3 clips attach the CS-620, which is joined to adjoining panels by a common-lock joint. Its fasteners are concealed. Clip steel is galvanized and 0.06 inch (1.52 mm) thick.
Finish system
The CS-620 is made in embossed or unembossed surface. Nominal thickness options are 0.030 inch (22 gage), 0.036 inch (20 gage) and 0.047 inch (18 gage). The exposed finish is a fluoropolymer two-coat system, 0.2 mil primer under a 0.8 mil 70 percent PVDF color coat. Over 60 standard colors and custom colors are offered.
Installation and rainscreen use
The CS-620 is installed horizontally or vertically. BW Systems, an insulated composite backup panel system, is a backup option behind it. Without added joint sealants, Concept Series panels function as pressure-equalized rainscreen cladding. A factory-applied sealant can be specified in vertical panel side laps.
Series context
Concept Series panels are made in over 60 standard colors plus custom colors, on hot-dip galvanized, Galvalume or Galvalume Plus coated steel, with aluminum and stainless steel panels available. The CS-620 load span tables are based on Allowable Stress Design (ASD), and the CS-620 appears in 2012 MasterFormat Section 07 42 13.19.
