The Super-Rib exterior face is G90 galvanized steel in 22, 20 and 18 gauge unembossed, or 22 and 20 gauge non-directional embossed.
The Super-Rib color offering is arranged in four tiers, Standard I, Standard II, a further tier I and tier II, and is supplied through a Metl-Span representative.
Joint and fastening
As a wall panel, Super-Rib side laps in the low cell. Used as a roof panel, it is inverted so that the side lap falls in the high cell.
Super-Rib has an overlapping side joint and is attached with an exposed fastening system.
Applications
Super-Rib can be used as an exterior or interior wall, with an insulated or non-insulated backup system. Installed in a rainscreen application, Super-Rib can form part of a system ranging from an uninsulated screen wall to BW Systems.
Features and options
Super-Rib ribs can run horizontally or vertically and can be curved to extreme degrees. Super-Rib has exceptional negative wind load properties.
Super-Rib is available embossed (non-directional) or unembossed, and the wall system installs with exposed fasteners from the outside face.
Design basis
The load span table for Super-Rib is based on Allowable Stress Design (ASD). For Super-Rib LRFD loads, section 2.4.1 of ASCE 7-10 applies. Super-Rib is specified under MasterFormat 2012 Section 07 42 13.19.
