Joint and clips

The CS-200 joins neighboring panels with a common-lock joint and is fastened with concealed fasteners. Attachment uses the CSC-1 or CSC-3 clip, so there are two clip options. The galvanized steel clip is 0.06 inch (16 gage, 1.52 mm) thick.

Materials and finishes

The CS-200 is offered in embossed or unembossed surface. The steel is G90 (Class Z275) galvanized to ASTM A 653/A 653M, with thickness options of 0.030 inch (22 gage), 0.036 inch (20 gage) and 0.047 inch (18 gage). The 24 gage is not offered in this profile.

Installation

The CS-200 is installed horizontally or vertically in new construction and retrofit. It forms part of a wall system from an uninsulated screen wall to a system using BW Systems, an insulated composite backup panel system.

Comparison within the series

Within the Concept Series, the CS-200 has the single asymmetrical rib. The CS-260 has three ribs at the same 12 inch coverage, and the 16 inch CS-620 and CS-660 have two and four. Load span tables are based on Allowable Stress Design (ASD), and section 2.4.1 of ASCE 7-10 gives the ASD combinations for LRFD loads. The CS-200 is listed under 2012 MasterFormat Section 07 42 13.19.
