Document record
The file is a six-page product data sheet for TruDefinition Duration shingles with Patented SureNail Technology, printed in English and Spanish. The cover shows the Driftwood color. The following pages cover shingle features, algae resistance, hip and ridge shingles, the color availability map and disclaimer, and nail retention performance.
The feature list names SureNail Technology, the TruDefinition color platform, a limited lifetime warranty for as long as the owner keeps the home, a limited wind warranty of up to 160 mph, a StreakGuard algae resistance limited warranty of 25 years, and a Class 3 impact resistance rating. The sheet states that the shingle is tested in a laboratory setting and classified as UL 2218 and FM 4473 Class 3 impact-resistant, and that hail damage is excluded from coverage under the warranty.
The algae page says the shingles use copper-lined granules, developed by 3M, to help resist blue-green algae growth. Hip and ridge shingles are described as color matched to the TruDefinition range. The color listings include Midnight Plum, Harbor Blue, Estate Gray, Desert Rose, Colonial Slate, Driftwood, Williamsburg Gray, Terra Cotta, Sierra Gray, Teak, Onyx Black, Peppercorn, Brownwood, Chateau Green, Amber and Shasta White, with a note on colors not available in Service Area 8.
The performance page lists nail blow-through resistance up to 9X better, delamination resistance up to 2X better and nail pull-through resistance up to 2.5X better. It describes a triple layer of reinforcement where the fabric overlays the two shingle layers.
