The file is a two-page product data sheet for PAC-4000, an engineered architectural wall system from Petersen Aluminum Corporation. It covers the PAC-4000 RV and DRV products. The panel is a composite made by laminating a prefinished aluminum skin to a thermoset phenolic resin substrate, with a second aluminum skin as the backer. The composition table lists a smooth aluminum face of .024 inch minimum, a phenolic core of .105 inch (2.67 mm) and a primed aluminum backer of .010 inch. The file notes that 4mm is the most common thickness, with 3mm and 6mm also available. Three attachment methods are described: the Reveal System (RV) with one-piece extruded moldings, the Rout and Return System (RR) with formed pans, and the RainScreen System (RS) with finished joints.
The 1/8-inch nominal panel weighs 1.33 lbs/ft2 (6.47 kg/m2). Test results include flame spread under ASTM E84, Class A, peel strength under ASTM D1781 at 34.5 lb-in/lb, tensile yield and ultimate tensile values under ASTM D638, an ignition temperature of 900 F under ASTM D1929, and a Gardner impact result under ASTM D5420. System performance entries are ASTM E283, ASTM E330, ASTM E331, IBC approval for the RR and RS systems, and UBC 26-9. Limits are stated as not structural and a slope not exceeding 25 degrees from vertical. Sizes are 48 or 60 inches wide, in 96, 120 and 144 inch lengths.
