APS500 Advanced Polymer Sealant
APS500 is a one-component, low-modulus, moisture curing, advanced polymer adhesive and sealant. It cures when exposed to atmospheric moisture to form a durable bond. It is UV resistant, paintable and non-yellowing, and it is available in a smooth or textured finish.
It is used on coated metal roofs, metal architecture, siding, window trim, doors and skylights, curtain walls and joints, and for sealing and repairing metal roofs. It adheres to Kynar, galvanize, Galvalume, copper, stainless steel and zinc. It also bonds to steel, aluminum, PVC, concrete, stucco, brick, glass and wood. It is not used on asphaltic materials.

Application
- Clean the substrate. It is frost free and free of oils, greases and incompatible sealers. Contaminated surfaces are not coated. Damp surfaces are acceptable, and a clean dry surface gives the strongest result.
- Do a test area first to become familiar with the application technique.
- Cut the nozzle to the desired bead size.
- Apply with a caulking gun, forcing the sealant onto the substrate.
- Tool the bead if necessary.
- Clean excess material with mineral spirits or a similar solvent.
