Overview
Grand Manor is a laminated CertainTeed asphalt shingle with an 8-inch tab area, built from two full-size one-piece base shingles with random tabs and shadow lines. It is the heavyweight of laminated shingles. With underlayment applied, it produces at least five layers of roof protection.
It is designed to resist blow-off in winds up to 110 mph with normal installation and 130 mph with special installation. The shingles are algae-resistant (AR).
Composition
Grand Manor has a fiber glass mat base. Grand Manor granules are ceramic-coated minerals set in refined, water-resistant asphalt. The laminated tabs are adhered with asphaltic cement, and self-sealing adhesive is applied.

Slope limits
Grand Manor is used on slopes of 2 inches per foot or greater, and slopes greater than 9 inches per foot show the design most clearly. Above 21 inches per foot, three spots of roofing cement go under the shingle and an additional fastener goes in each laminated tab.
