Landmark TL Solaris

Landmark TL Solaris is a CertainTeed residential shingle roofing product that reflects solar energy in a traditional color palette. It is constructed from three laminated layers, giving a thick roofing product styled with the classic appeal of wood shakes. Its overall dimensions are 13 1/4 inches by 40 inches.

All colors are rated by the Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC) and can be used to comply with California Title 24 Part 6 Cool Roof Requirements and the LA County Title 31 Steep Slope Residential cool roof provisions. The shingle is designed to resist blow-off in winds up to 110 mph with normal installation and 130 mph with special installation.

Landmark TL Solaris shingles have a fiber glass mat base. The Landmark TL Solaris granule layer is ceramic-coated mineral granules of high solar reflectance set in refined, water-resistant asphalt. Three pieces of the shingle are laminated together in an asphaltic cement, and all of the shingles have self-sealing adhesive strips.

The shingle has a multi-layer design made up of a fiberglass base, a protective outer layer and a reflective layer. The reflective layer uses Solaris Cool Roof reflective granules.

Slopes of 4 inches per foot and greater are recommended for optimum appearance. Low-slope applications from 2:12 to less than 4:12 require WinterGuard Waterproofing Shingle Underlayment, or an equivalent meeting ASTM D1970, over the entire deck surface. In areas where icing along the eaves can cause water to back up, WinterGuard or an equivalent is applied on all slopes.
