Province Slate

Province Slate is a DaVinci Roofscapes residential slate tile with a shorter field piece than the company's 18-inch slate lines. The field tile is 12 inches wide and 11.5 inches long, laid at an 8-inch exposure.

Its rows appear on the technical sheet dated 9/29/2025, which replaces 7/1/2025. Like the other tiles in this slate-look and shake-look residential roofing range, it has its own matching hip, ridge, rake, transition and starter pieces.

The field bundle holds 10 pieces of 12-inch by 11.5-inch tile and weighs 13.4 pounds. 40 nails are required per bundle.

One coursing layout is listed: an 8-inch exposure, laid straight, on a roof of 3:12 pitch or greater. Coverage is 15 bundles per square. The weight is 201 pounds per square and 600 nails are required per square.

• Hip/Ridge one-piece hinged, per 8-inch exposure, optional reduced exposure, 3:12 to 12:12 pitch: 6.66 linear feet per bundle, 10 pieces, 12 pounds, 20 nails.
• Hip/Ridge two-piece, 6 inches wide, per 6-inch exposure, for pitches greater than 12:12: 5 linear feet per bundle, 20 pieces, 18.4 pounds, 40 nails.
• Rake one-piece, 4 inches wide by 15.5 inches long: 13.33 linear feet per bundle, 20 pieces, 25 pounds, 40 nails.
• Transition piece, 12 inches wide by 11.5 inches long: 10 bundles per square, 10 pieces, 13 pounds, 40 nails.

The starter is 12 inches wide by 3.5 inches long, covering 20 linear feet per bundle with 20 pieces, 18 pounds and 40 nails. Step flashing is listed in bronze and in gray, both 4 inches by 6 inches by 14 inches, at 13.3 linear feet per bundle, 20 pieces and 15 pounds.

Standard colors are Brownstone, Castle Gray, European, Slate Black, Slate Gray and Smokey Gray. Cool Roof colors are Brownstone Cool Roof, Castle Gray Cool Roof and Slate Gray Cool Roof.

Listed accessories include hot dipped galvanized ring shank coil nails, 1-1/2 inch (38 pounds per 7,200-piece box) and 1-3/4 inch (41 pounds per 7,200-piece box), and Eco Chief SOLARHIDE underlayment, 54 pounds per 10-square roll.
