EverGuard PVC Smooth Membranes

EverGuard PVC Smooth Membranes are polyester-reinforced smooth PVC single-ply membranes for low-slope commercial roofing in the United States. They suit mechanically attached, fully adhered and induction-welded systems, and hybrid assemblies. The membrane meets ASTM D4434 Type III.

The EverGuard PVC family has four membrane lines: PVC, PVC Fleece-Back, PVC KEE and PVC KEE Fleece-Back. The smooth line is the plain PVC membrane without a fleece backing and without KEE plasticizer. Guarantees for qualified systems are available for up to 30 years.

In PVC single-ply roofing, the smooth PVC membrane is welded at the seams with heat. Specific EverGuard PVC roofing assemblies have extinguished the flame in Class A ASTM E108 testing even when the flame source stayed applied.

The smooth PVC membrane is made in 50, 60 and 80 mil. The 50 and 60 mil rolls are 100 feet long and the 80 mil rolls are 80 feet long.

• 80 mil, 5 ft by 80 ft (1.52 m by 24.4 m), item 826F: 211 lb, 10 rolls per pallet, 160 per truck.

White and Gray are the standard colors. Tan and Energy Gray are special-order colors. White smooth PVC has a highly reflective and emissive surface.

• PVC Fleece-Back: 50 mil items 827A and 827B, 60 mil items 827C and 827D, 80 mil items 827E and 827F. Weights match the smooth PVC rolls at 318, 159, 398, 199, 422 and 211 lb.
• PVC KEE: 50 mil items 82A9 and 82A5 (318 lb and 159 lb), 60 mil items 82B9 and 82B5 (377 lb and 189 lb), 80 mil items 82C7 and 82C1 (401 lb and 201 lb).
• PVC KEE Fleece-Back: 50 mil items 82D9 and 82D5, 60 mil items 82F9 and 82F5, 80 mil items 82G7 and 82G1.

PVC KEE uses Ketone Ethylene Ester, also sold as Dow ELVALOY KEE, a solid polymer plasticizer. PVC KEE has improved cold-weather flexibility, long-term weathering and increased resistance to chemicals, grease and jet fuel, and is eligible for GAF guarantee systems up to 5 years longer than similar systems using standard PVC. GAF warranties and guarantees do not cover chemical exposure.

Prefabricated PVC accessories are made for use with the membrane.
