Overview
Swisspearl Nobilis is a fiber cement façade board in the Swisspearl Largo range with a translucent, lightly pigmented matte surface over a gray base. It is one of three naturally dried color lines, with Carat and Terra, that share a through-colored panel construction. Nobilis is sold in the US as a commercial rainscreen panel and sits among the fiber cement rainscreen panels of the range.
Nobilis is designated AC 90, ASTM 1185 and EN 12467.
Surface and finish
The surface is a thin, translucent pigment veil. The natural cement texture of the gray base stays visible beneath the color, and the face is smooth, even and matte. The panel is lightly pigmented. An optional transparent high-resistance coating can be specified over the face, and it adds scratch and weather resistance.

Color stability and environmental data
Production-line color variation is a ΔE below 2.0 (CIELAB). UV color resistance (ASTM G155, Xenon arc) is a ΔE below 5.0 at 3000 hours and at 5000 hours. Across stages A1 to C4, the Nobilis footprint totals 16.7 kg CO₂-eq (0.74 biogenic, 16.5 fossil). The facility holds ISO 9001 certification, and the board is CE marked under European Regulation 305/2011.
Material composition
The fiber cement in Nobilis is made from cement, cellulose, water, synthetic fibers and air, with pigments added for color. Each Nobilis board is rolled, pressed, cut, cured and colored under continuous quality control. Nobilis is produced at one of nine Swisspearl facilities in Europe, which have been asbestos-free for more than two decades. The materials and chemicals in Nobilis comply with REACH. The Largo format of Nobilis falls under the Cradle to Cradle Certified Full Scope certification at the Bronze level, version 4.1.
Custom options
For Nobilis, perforations, engravings of geometric shapes, patterns, logos or images, and free forms and cutting are offered. Custom colors for Nobilis can be made in NCS, RAL or Pantone shades. Special colors are possible within the Carat, Nobilis and Planea color lines.
