Overview

IndustrialBlock is a Nichiha Concrete Series architectural wall panel with a distressed concrete look and an industrial character. It is made for interior or exterior designs. The panel is engineered with an integrated rainscreen and sits in the Nichiha range used for commercial rainscreen cladding.

The Concrete Series panels are lightweight and are made to avoid the curing time, cracking and color inconsistency associated with concrete. Related Nichiha products linked from the IndustrialBlock page are Illumination, Novenary, RoughSawn and VintageWood.

Profile and dimensions

The panel is made in the AWP 3030 format, the long Nichiha format.

  • Height: 17-7/8 inches (455 mm)
  • Length: 119-5/16 inches (3030 mm)
  • Thickness: 5/8 inch (16 mm)
  • Exposed coverage: 14.81 square feet per panel
  • Packaging: 2 panels per pack, covering 29.62 square feet

IndustrialBlock and EmpireBlock share the AWP 3030 specifications in the Concrete Series data sheet.

Finish and color

The color listed is Gray. Series photography shows the panel with an Illumination custom color beside it.

Orientation and installation

Separate install guides cover horizontal and vertical orientation. Hidden-fastener clips hold the long AWP 3030 panels, whether they run horizontally or vertically. Textures and colors from other AWP products can be combined with Gray IndustrialBlock on the same wall. Ventilation and drainage behind the panels come from the integrated rainscreen. The clip system is listed with Miami-Dade County approval and a high wind load rating; the IndustrialBlock page gives no wind pressure figure.

Concrete Series context

IndustrialBlock offers a distressed look. EmpireBlock has a dimple, and Corbosa evokes wet concrete. ConcreteBoard and Corbosa are made in the AWP 1818 format, which can only be installed horizontally.
