Overview
QuadCore KS Series is the Kingspan insulated metal wall panel range built on the QuadCore Technology core, a hybrid insulation core of polyisocyanurate. The range is made up of six exterior profiles: Flat with Azteco embossing, Micro-Rib, Mini Micro-Rib, Mini-Wave, Shadowline and Vektra. All of them have a Shadowline interior and can be installed vertically or horizontally. The range covers commercial and industrial walls, new construction, and retrofit and recladding.
Within the range, the Optimo flat panel and the KarrierPanel barrier wall are separate products that use the same joint. The CSI guide specification (07 42 13, Metal Wall Panels) covers steel faced QuadCore (polyisocyanurate) metal wall panels with fasteners and perimeter trim as accessories.
Profiles, embossing and gauges
The exterior profile sets the available embossing and exterior gauge. The interior face has a Shadowline profile with stucco or non-embossed finish and a 26, 24 or 22 ga gauge on every profile.
- Azteco (flat face): Azteco embossing; exterior gauge 26, 24 or 22 ga.
- Micro-Rib: stucco or non-embossed; exterior gauge 24 or 22 ga.
- Mini Micro-Rib: non-embossed; exterior gauge 24 ga.
- Mini-Wave: stucco or non-embossed; exterior gauge 24 or 22 ga.
- Shadowline: stucco or non-embossed; exterior gauge 26, 24 or 22 ga.
- Vektra: non-embossed; exterior gauge 26, 24 or 22 ga.

Thermal performance
The QuadCore core carries an R-value of about 8 per inch at a 75°F mean temperature and about 9 per inch at 35°F, tested to ASTM C518. Panel values at 75°F and 35°F by thickness are R-16 and R-18 at 2 inches, R-20 and R-22.5 at 2.5 inches, R-24 and R-27 at 3 inches, R-32 and R-36 at 4 inches, R-40 and R-45 at 5 inches, and R-48 and R-54 at 6 inches.

Installation details
The KS Series vertical CAD set was revised through 1/30/26 and the horizontal set through 1/30/26 as well. Both start with panel profiles and fastening patterns, then expanded and engaged panel joints, intermediate supports, and joints with Leo-Klip and Leo-Klip+ clips and fasteners, with isometric views.
- Vertical set: flush bases, base at notched concrete, overhangs with base support, base angle or J extrusion, marriage bead base isometric, outside and inside corners in flat trim, profiled trim or extrusion, endwall terminations, framed opening heads, jambs and sills with flat or two piece trim or extrusion, an interior partition framed opening, stack joints including trimless end and one or two piece extrusions, and parapets.
- Horizontal set: flush cut base with trim, flush base and overhang with extrusion, J base details including notched concrete, CMU variants of each base and corner, outside corners with flat trim, factory folded corners, standard cut ends or extrusion, inside corners with flat trim, gasket, jamb extrusion or corner extrusion, trim laps, and endwall terminations.
- Standard trims: a standard trim with two breaks is cut from a 10 foot length; its dimension A is the panel thickness plus 1/4 inch, with a stretch-out of 5 1/2 inches for a 2 inch panel, 6 inches for 2.5, 6 1/2 inches for 3, 7 1/2 inches for 4, 8 1/2 inches for 5 and 9 1/2 inches for 6. Trim is ordered in 26, 24 or 22 ga, stucco, Azteco or smooth embossing, and standard Kynar, MP/SMP or other finish.
The KS Series installation guide covers Optimo, Azteco, Granitstone, Mini-Wave, Mini Micro-Rib, Micro-Rib, Shadowline and Vektra. The range is one of the insulated metal panel wall systems for commercial and industrial buildings.
