Joint and attachment

A common-lock joint and concealed fasteners hold the CS-260. Two clips, the CSC-1 and the CSC-3, attach it. Clips can hold the panel at least 1/2 inch (12.7 mm) off the substrate or flush against it, and allow unimpeded thermal movement.

Materials and gauges

The CS-260 and the CS-260E are among the Concept Series panels offered in 0.024 inch (24 gage, 0.60 mm) thickness, along with the CS-660 and CS-660E. Other options are 22, 20 and 18 gage. The base steel is G90 galvanized, and the Concept Series is also made on Galvalume and Galvalume Plus coated steel, with aluminum and stainless steel panels available. Embossed or unembossed surface is available.

Installation and cavity

The CS-260 is installed horizontally or vertically, in new construction and retrofit. Systems range from an uninsulated screen wall to a lock-joint wall panel system using BW Systems. Stand-off clips create a vented cavity and a drain plane behind the panel.

Specification data

The CS-260 is listed under 2012 MasterFormat Section 07 42 13.19. Its load span tables are based on Allowable Stress Design (ASD), with section 2.4.1 of ASCE 7-10 giving the ASD combinations for LRFD loads. Horizontal and vertical detail books for the series are published as PDF and DWG files. Over 60 standard colors plus custom colors are offered across the series.
