CONCEALOR DP1 Pancake Head Screws

CONCEALOR DP1 pancake head screws are #14-13 self-drilling screws with a DP1 drill point. They attach to metal, wood and concrete. A buttress thread gives high clamping loads and is specified in many metal roofing systems to attach standing seam roof clips over rigid insulation into metal deck.

The thread has a flat profile that keeps the joint tight. An ordinary tapered thread tends to loosen the joint. The carbon steel screw has a TRI-SEAL coating that gives over 10 times the corrosion resistance of black epoxy coated screws. The stainless version is a 304 stainless steel bi-metal screw, with a TRI-SEAL coating that gives lubricity and minimizes thread roll-over.

Sizes and drill points

  • #14-13 DP1: 3/4, 1-1/2, 2, 3, 4, 4-1/2, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 in long; carbon steel drills and taps up to 16 ga steel; 304 stainless steel bi-metal drills and taps up to 18 ga steel
  • 1-1/2, 2, 3 and 7 in lengths are also available in 304 stainless steel
  • Load bearing length runs from .125 in on the 3/4 in screw to 5.875 - 8.250 in on the 9 in screw
  • 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 in screws have a 4-1/2 in thread length
  • Steel hardness can affect drill and tap performance and may require predrilling
