Screws for Steel Decking

BLAZER Self-Drilling Screws for steel deck attachment are drill screws that fasten floor and roof decking to steel. The BLAZER-3 point drills and taps in one pass through thinner steel. The BLAZER-5 point handles thicker steel. Threads run #10-16, #12-14, 1/4-14, #12-24 and 1/4-20.

The screws are C1022 carbon steel with a hex washer head. They are zinc plated, with an optional TRI-SEAL long-life coating. Triangle Fastener Corporation lists them as approved by the Steel Deck Institute for attaching floor and roof decking. They meet the strength requirements in the Steel Deck Institute Diaphragm Design Engineering Manual. Roofers use them to fix deck under low-slope roof assemblies, insulation and membranes. Bond-Seal washers are available on all BLAZER screws.
