CONCEALOR Nail Base Screws
The CONCEALOR Nail Base (Concealor NB) attaches nail base insulation panels or SIPs to thin metal or wood framing or decking. The head sinks flush to the nail base, so nothing interferes with the panel over top, and pull through resistance stays high. The #14-13 DP1 thread is an asymmetric buttress thread, specified in many metal roofing systems to attach SSR clips over rigid insulation into metal deck. It is used under standing seam metal roofing systems.
The screw is C1022 carbon steel, case hardened, with a Tri-seal finish. The head measures 0.630 in across, 25% larger than the standard CONCEALOR head at 0.450 in. The threaded portion is 2 3/4 in long. The flat side of the buttress thread keeps the joint tight, where a tapered thread tends to loosen it.
