CONCEALOR DP5 Pancake Head Screws
The 1/4-20 DP5 CONCEALOR is a pancake head screw for heavy gauge work. It drills and taps up to 1/2 in thick steel. The threads are special threads that reduce tapping torque. Typical uses are metal roof clips, structural and architectural insulated panels, and nail base.
The 5/8 in diameter head increases pullover strength and minimizes dimpling. The body is C-1022 steel, case hardened per SAE J-78. The TRI-SEAL long-life coating exceeds ASTM B633 specifications, gives 1,000 hours of salt spray performance and meets FM4470 per ASTM G87 Sulfur Dioxide Test. The screw is made by Triangle Fastener Corporation and is used to attach material and standing seam roof clips to steel.

Choosing the drill point and length
- Measure from the top surface of the material being fastened to the underside of the metal, allowing for any void or insulation. This is the attachment thickness.
- Select a screw length on the size chart that falls within the attachment thickness: 2 in for 1 in max, 4 in for 3 in max, 6 in for 2 to 5 in, 8 in for 4 to 7 in.
- Leave a minimum of three full threads extending beyond the material being fastened.
